老妈偶尔上一上QQ，看一眼她各朋友的QQ空间，看完还要评论下。夸我公司里几个女孩子都写得好，又说她朋友中谁谁谁的文笔好，谁谁谁写的好笑。我说，那谁谁谁的我看过，写得很一般的。她大笑，写得一般总比某些人的空间是太空好。
一直觉得QQ空间真是我所见过最可怕、最恶俗、最不人性化，加上最“司马昭之心”——腾讯公司的捞钱之心——的博客空间，比msn space不堪一百倍。所以申请完之后一直敬而远之，绝不在上面写任何一个字。后来有人在空间的留言本上留了一句“难道这里就是传说中的太空？”结果此事被我妈笑到如今。
从来没有告诉她我的任何一个blog地址，也没有告诉她我保持了这么多年写字的习惯，其实并不是怕被她看到我的字——小女子虽然文笔平平，但还不至于到不能见人的地步。只不过blog一向都是我的垃圾桶，我的阴霾与刻薄都在此地得到发泄。她来看，不过是徒增烦恼。
在她心里，让她一直以为我是一个不写日记、没有心事的小女孩子，这样更好。

Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
