看完了Twilight系列的第一本《暮色》，说实话，开始还读得津津有味，但随着故事的深入，我也越来越失望。而且我拒绝将这种失望归结到翻译的失误里去，因为这种失望并不完全是由于翻译的失色带来，而是对故事本身的失望。
读《暮色》的时候我一直在想，如果不是因为角度新颖，这简直是一部可以与琼瑶阿姨的小说相媲美的烂言情。网上有评论说这个系列是美版的《哈利·波特》，称梅尔可与罗琳比肩。我不知道作为一个完全的哈利迷，对此我能说什么才不会伤心。不要说《哈利·波特》《魔戒》或《纳尼亚传奇》了，个人认为连沧月的《镜》系列都比这写的好。为此我很抑郁。
如果你要用奇幻类或吸血鬼类来定义《暮色》系列，那它真的只够排到惨不忍睹的名次，因此我坚持此系列小说应该被放在言情类。相信我，在言情类它会得到更多的赞誉，如果在一开始我就把它定义在言情类的话，至少我绝不会像现在这么失望。
我无法评论梅尔和罗琳两个人在文字驾驭能力上的高低，因为我读的是译作。但至少我知道，在文学性上，罗琳高了不止那么一点点——虽然拿着商业化写作谈文学其实有点可笑。
罗琳的HP系列之所以那么吸引人，不仅因为罗琳是一个很会讲故事的人，而是她在写HP之前对整个故事有一个非常完整的宏观控制——至少看起来是这样——HP里有深入细致的心理刻画与大段的细节描述，你甚至可以看到她在前几部里为后几部提早埋下的伏笔，就更不用提那从头带到尾的悬念。爱情在HP系列里只是画龙点睛的一笔而不是故事的全部（感谢上帝，请注意，《哈利·波特》《魔戒》与《纳尼亚传奇》其中没有任何一部是以爱情为主线的）。HP是一个野心巨大的故事，巨大的野心需要更大的驾驭能力才能完成，罗琳在这一点上做得实在太好。
《暮光之城》显然也是一个成功的系列，凭全球销售量就可以看出，对此我完全没有异议。但小说里大段肉麻得让我直哆嗦的对白实在使我精疲力竭，因此我非常欣赏《暮色》的电影编剧梅莉莎・罗森伯格，她大刀阔斧的剪接与拼贴，让电影的剧情比小说里进行得更流畅、紧凑，整部电影的节奏感比原著小说强太多了。我相信电影的制片人与投资方也一定同意我这一说法，因为听说这次拍《新月》，换了导演却没换编剧。感谢上帝，这真是一个完全正确的决定。天知道，如果原著里的某些冗长、无意义的对白真的写进电影的话，我一定会在看电影时抑郁而死——虽然这并不代表小说里没有闪光的东西，小说有些对白与情节还是相当有代表性的，也已经被拍进电影里去。
虽然在读HP时我偶尔也会觉得部分情节可以删去，但我从来没有在看HP电影时觉得电影真的能够完全地诠释出原著小说里所表达出的魅力。但Twilight却真的让我觉得，电影拍得已经足够好了，简洁明了，该有的情节一个也没落下，经典的对白被改动得更加经典。个人认为，看看电影已经足够，如果不是喜欢读言情小说的人，实在没有必要读原著。
btw，我昨晚第三遍看Twilight，还是可以很高兴的从头微笑直到结束。这真是一部让人心旷神怡的电影，看的时候不知道为什么，就是可以一直微笑，保持开心。而读言情小说（Twilight的原著）却有巨大的后遗症——非常想谈恋爱，因为强悍的寂寞。
