在OU读书时学校附近有家中餐馆叫美华,只做快餐和盖饭。平时放学总去吃他家的tofu chicken on rice,极为钟爱,从来不改。
附近的泰国学生有句名言:有钱吃美华,没钱吃鲍鱼。是的,通常到了年底哪国的学生们都是一般穷困潦倒。那帮没事热衷于聚在一起抽叶子的泰国人,有钱时也去吃美华,一没钱了就开车去很远的海滩挖鲍鱼度日。
回国这么多年往事都慢慢淡忘了。
去年在家楼下的某家餐馆吃了道『豆花牛肉』,总觉得特别欢喜,从此时不时会去他家端菜,总是要点这道菜的。可惜今年多半是换了大厨,味道全然变了。
失眠时不由自主回想起许多不堪回首的鸡零狗碎,就在那么一瞬间想起了美华。
突然惊觉我这么爱吃楼下的豆花牛肉,只怕跟当初美华的各种豆腐盖饭脱不开干系。
想来那味道确有几分相似,但其实吃了这么多次,我脑海里未有哪怕一次浮现过美华。
但显然,我的味蕾依然记得。
